3、earLangmuirmodelandthediffusionriumconstant(ke)from0.004to22.2m.ForthediffusionmodelforVOCsorptionbydifferentbuildingmaterials.Themodel,Littleetal.(1996)foundthatitcanfittheexperimentaltwomodelswereevaluated(1)bythegoodnessofmodelcurve-datareasonablywell.Theyalsoproposedsomeindependentfit

4、tingtotheexperimentaldataaccordingtotheASTMrecom-methodstomeasurethepartitioncoefficientandthediffusionmendedstatisticalindicesand(2)bytheabilityinpredictingcoefficient(Coxetal.2001).thedesorptionperiodbasedonthedatafromtheadsorptionHowever,thereseemedtobenodirectcomparisonperiod.Thelinea

5、rLangmuirmodelappearedtobesuitableforbetweenthepredictionusingthemeasuredpartitionanddiffu-thepainteddrywallandceilingtilewhilethediffusionmodelsioncoefficientsandthechambertestdata.Duetothelackofseemsmoresuitableforcarpet.Thevariationsofthesorptionexperimentaldata,thetwotypicalsorptionmo

6、delsaregener-modelparametersarenotalwaysconsistentwiththechangesallyvalidatedonlybycurve-fittingwithoutquantitativeindi-oftheenvironmentalconditions.ces.Theystillneedtobevalidatedusingmoredata,especiallyINTRODUCTIONindependentexperimentaldata.Moreover,theeffectsofenvi-ronmentalconditions(
