3、edsewagesludge,with80%watercontent,wasgeneratedfromwastewatertreatmentplantin2008.About60%oftheorganicsubstances,removedduringthewastewatertreatmentprocess,becomeconcentratedassludge.Traditionaldisposalmethodsusedbymunicipalsolidwastetreatmentfacilities,includinglandfills,composting,andinc
4、ineration,areunsuitableforsludgedisposalbecauseofitshighmoisturecontent.FewpropersludgetreatmentsordisposalmethodsarecurrentlyappliedinChina.Thetreatmentanddisposalofsewagesludgearesignificantenvironmentalproblemsandhavethereforebecomeamajorfocusofcurrentenvironmentalprotectionpolicies.Slu
5、dgeincinerationhasreceivedworldwideattentionasaneffectiveapproachtoreducethequantityandtoxicityofsludge.InJapan,mostofburnablewastesareincinerated.However,directsludgeincinerationisnotcost-efficientandcreatesunstableburningwhichgenerateslargeamountsofgaseouspollutants.Currently,bio-energyi
6、sanexcellentenergyrecyclingtechnologywithbrightprospect,givenitsabilitytoturnrefuseintoenergy.Assuch,inrecentyearsrefuse-derivedfuel(RDF)technologyhasbecomearefuseprocessingtechnologyadoptedbyadvancednationsinEurope,America,andJapanetc.InChina,sewagesludgewasmixedwithauxiliaryfuels,sulfur-
