1、AbstractFromthebirthdayon,ferroelectricceramicshavebeenregardedasthecorematerialsformanyindustryapplication.Specialoneofthat—leadlanthanumzirconatetitanateceramics(PLZT)pointanewdevelopingdirectionforlotsofdevices.Comparedwithpreviousceramics,PLZTownsmanyadvantag

2、essuchashigheropticaltransmittance,widerangeoftransmissionwavelengthandmoresensitivetoelectricfield.Inparticular,electro-opticalpropertiesareinconnectionwithferroelectricforPLZT.Wecouldinfluencethedomainorientationbyexternalelectricfieldtocontrolbirefringence,lig

3、htscatteringandsoon.PLZThasbeenasubstituteforcrystalmaterialandgetintoapplicationrealmgradually.Asahostmaterialforgainmedia,PLZThasbeenwidelyresearchedanddemonstratedconsiderablegaincoefficient.Ontheotherhand,high-poweroutputrare-earthnear-infraredlasers'developm

4、enthavebeenstimulatingthesearchforlongerlevellifetimeofactiveions.Yb3+hasbeenregardedasaperfectcandidatebecauseofthat.SogainmediacontainingYb3+isafocusforresearch.Inthispaper,weadoptedanewsolid・solutionceramicswhichbasedonPLZT—La"doped15%PYN-36.25%PZ-48.75PT(PYN)

5、.ThismaterialcontainslagernumberofmeritsofPLZT.BecauseofdrawinggreatattentionsforYb3+gainmedia,wehopetoutilizeanewtypeofceramicstogetamplification.ThemainworkofthepaperistomeasurePYNgainability.Atfirst,wemeasuredhysteresisloopsforPYN,andrevealedawaytocontrolthety

6、peofelectro-opticaleffectsbychoosetheproportionbetweenPZandPT.ThenwesurveyedtransmittancerangeforPYNandtrack-recordedtherelativedielectricconstantasafunctionoftemperaturefrom20°C〜140°C,thenwedevisedopticalpath,takingadvantageofsingle-beammethod,togetthequadratice

7、lectro・opticalcoefficientfor532nm,561nm,632.8nm,1064nm,respectively.BeforeinvestigationofPYNamplification,wemeasuredXRD,absorptionandemissionspectrumtodeterminepumpandseedlight'wavelength.Wecalculatedspontaneousemissionfactor,absorptionandemissioncross-section.Th
