5、hesametimeitisanimportantfactorforimprovingtheperformance,efficiencyandcompetitiveness.Theowninnovativepotentialofenterprises,R&DcooperationandpublicR&DsupportintheEUareconsideredtobeasuitablestimulantforthedevelopmentofregions.EmpiricalstudiesmadeinGermanyanalysingdataof270regions(f

6、romthetotal295regions)showedthatinnovativecollaborationandpublicsupportforR&Dinvestmentaresuitablepolicymeasurestostimulateinnovationperformanceofregions(Broekel,2015).Thecomparisonofinnovationactiveenterpriseswithso-calledyounghighlyinnovativeenterprises(Younginnovativecompanies一YIC

7、S)inGermanyshowedthatYICSamonginnovativecompaniesarerare,buthadsignificantlyhigherrevenuesfrominnovativesales.AndthisisdespitethefactthatR&DfundingfromtheirownresourcesofYICSisanimportantfactorpreventingfromwiderdevelopmentofinnovativeactivities.Connectionwiththegrowthoftheinnovation
