2、ossofsinglereceivertubesunderindoorlaboratoryconditions.Heatlossmeasurementscanbedoneundervacuumconditionstoavoidconvectionoutsidetheglasstube,thusobtainingamoreuniformtemperaturealongthereceiversectionandlookingfortheheatlossbyradiation.Inaddition,ispossibletodetermineheatlossatdifferentvacuu

3、mlevelsinthespacebetweenthemetallicabsorbertubeandtheglassenvelope.Theemissivityoftheselectivecoatingcanbetheninferredfromthesemeasures.HEATRECdeviceletstocharacterizeheatlossesofreceivertubeswithinnerdiametergreaterthan62mmandtubelengthlowerthan4.5m.Measurementscanbeperformedforabsorbertemper

4、aturerangingfrom100°Cto500°C.Thevacuuminthetestchambercanbesetuptoaround10-2mbar.BesidesHEATREC,theactivitylinedevotedtolinearreceiversisequippedwithtoolsanddevicesforpropermanipulationandmonitoringofreceivertubes.ViewoftheHEATRECtestchambertomeasureheatlossesinsolarreceivertubesThelabequipmen

5、tdevotedtovolumetricreceiversisinstalledatCIEMAT-Moncloa(Madrid)sitewiththeaimofstudyingindepthatlabscalethesolarvolumetrictechnology.Itsmaincomponentisatestbenchspeciallydesignedforthetestofnewvolumetricabsorbersandconfigurationsanditsageing.Thistestbenchhastheflexibilitytostudy:·Thepressured

6、ifferenceacrossthevolumetricabsorberfordifferentfluiddensityandfluidvelocity,forthedeterminationofthemainpropertiesdescribedbytheForchheimerextensiontoDarcy’slaw:theviscouspermeabilitycoefficientand,theinertialpermeabilitycoefficient.Adifferentialpressuredropsystemisinstalled,withthepreviously

7、describedinstallation,forthepropertiesdetermination·Theextinctioncoefficientofdifferentmediums,whichcanbeusedasatooltoapproximateradiationanalysisinsemi-transparentmediumsfollowingtheBouger’slaw.Themainequipmentinstalledinthistestbench(
