1、INVOLUTESPLINES2129FormCircleisthecirclewhichdefinesthedeepestpointsofinvoluteformcontrolofthetoothprofile.Thiscirclealongwiththetoothtipcircle(orstartofchamfercircle)deter-minesthelimitsoftoothprofilerequiringcontrol.Itislocatednearthemajorcircleonth

2、einternalsplineandneartheminorcircleontheexternalspline.FormClearance(cF)istheradialdepthofinvoluteprofilebeyondthedepthofengage-mentwiththematingpart.Itallowsforloosenessbetweenmatingsplinesandforeccen-tricitiesbetweentheminorcircle(internal),themajo

3、rcircle(external),andtheirrespectivepitchcircles.FormDiameter(DFe,DFi)thediameteroftheformcircle.InternalSplineisasplineformedontheinnersurfaceofacylinder.InvoluteSplineisonehavingteethwithinvoluteprofiles.LeadVariationisthevariationofthedirectionofth

8、isthevariationofparallelismofasinglesplinetoothwithrespecttoanyothersinglesplinetooth(seeFig.1b).Pitch(P/Ps)isacombinationnumberofaone-to-tworatioindicatingthesplinepropor-tions;theupperorfirstnumberisthediametralpitch,thelowerorsecondnumberis
