3、convergeonafinalspecificationforbothproductandprocesses.WithintheschemeofintegratingDFLandSBCE,wedevelopadecisionsupportframeworktoestimatelogisticstimeandcostforasetofdesignalternativesanddeterminethebestdesignbymakingtradeoffbetweenthesetwoperform-ancemeasures.Inthep

5、tionthatsatisfiesneeds.Thisusuallyinvolvesconsiderationofvariousparametersandalternativeconfigurationsofvariouscomponents.Astheprevalentmethodology,ConcurrentEngineering(CE)simultaneouslydesignsproductsandrelatedprocessesbyintegratingresourcesintoacollaborativecourseto
6、develop,manufacture,anddelivereconomicallyqualityproducts.MostCEresearches,suchasDesignforManufactureandAssembly(DFMA),focusontechnicalaspectsandinternalactivitiesconcerningproductdevelopment。Owingtoinformationandcommunicationtechnology(ICT),thecontinuumofintegrationha
7、sextendedtoestablishprocess-basedrelationshipswithtradingpartnersthatresultsinbettersynchroni-zation,responsiveness,andflexibility.Evidently,twoevolvingtrendscoexistandintertwinewitheachotherinthisnetworkedindustry.Ontheonehand,CEimplementationofindividualcompanieshass
