2、achtonuclearwar,thecrisisbeganwhentheUnitedStatesdiscovered,onOctober14,thatCubahadsecretlyinstalledSovietmissilesabletocarrynuclearweapons.ThemissileswerecapableofhittingtargetsacrossmostoftheUnitedStates.Thediscoveryledtoatensestand-offofseveraldaysastheUnitedStatesimpos
3、edanavalblockadeofCubaanddemandedthattheUSSRremovethemissiles.Atthesametime,KennedybegantoaiTangehismentonegotiatesecretlywithKhrushchev.Atlast,onOctober28th,secretdiplomaticnegotiationssucceeded.Thetwosidesreachedthefollowingagreement:SovietwithdrewitsmissilesfromCuba;the
4、UnitedStatesagreednottoinvadeCuba,andsecretlywithdrewitsmissilesdeployedinTurkey.Thiswasacrisisthatalmostinvolvedthewholeworldintoadeadlynuclearwar.Fortunately,Kennedy'sgoodjudgmentandtheprudenceKhrushchevdisplayedoncethecrisisintensifiedhelpedavertcatastrophe.Intheprocess
5、ofthiscrisis,Kennedyhadalwaysacteddecisivelyanduncompromisingly.Kennedy'sbravehawkstyleofwork,hiscalmandflexiblemeasuresfrustratedtheSoviets9plan,wonavictoryforAmericans,andalsohumiliatedthesoviets.TheConceptofNaturalRightsTheterm"天赋人权”,fromtheLatinterm“jusNafuralv,shouldb
