2、007Availableonline15December2007AbstractAnewAlCmasteralloyforgrainrefinementonMgAlbasedalloyshasbeenfabricatedbypowdermetallurgy.Al4C3isformedbyreactionbetweenpartoff.c.cAl(C)solidsolutionandaluminumduringfabrication,andthenet-likemixtureofAl4C3andAl(C)solidsolutionisloca

3、tedattheboundariesofaluminumparticles.Millingandpressingofgraphiteandaluminumpowderschangethenatureofgraphiteandensurethekineticsconditionsofthereactionbetweenthetwophases.GrainrefinementexperimentshowsAl1CmasteralloycanefficientlyrefineAZ31(Mg3%Al1%Zn).At760◦C,whenadding2w
