2、oir.Phasebehaviorwasstudiedwiththereservoiroilatdifferentwater−oilratiosandvaryingsalt/alkaliconcentrations.Therheologyoftheresultingmicroemulsionphaseswasmeasuredwithandwithoutpolymers.Thesurfactantformulationwastestedwithafieldcoreandanout-cropcore,withandwithoutanalkalinepreflush.Waterfloodr
3、ecoveredabout48%oftheoilinplaceandreducedtheoilsaturationto35%forthefieldcore.ThetertiaryASPinjectioninthefieldcorewithoutalkalinepreflushyielded80%cumulativeoilrecovery;therecoveryincreasedto85%inthesamecore(andthesamesurfactantformulation)ifthealkalinepreflushwasused.Theoilrecoveryintheout-cr
