4、tsignaledtheemergenceofforensiclinguisticsasanidentifiablesubfieldwithinlinguistics.OnewastheappearanceofJudithLevi’sBibliographicGuide(1994).Theotherwasthefounding,in1993,oftheInternationalAssociationofForensicLinguists(IAFL)alongwithitsjournalForensicLinguistics(1994),nowtitledthe
5、InternationalJournalofSpeech,LanguageandtheLaw.ThisimpressiveHandbook(2010),editedbyCoulthardandJohnson,marksanothermilestone,indicatingthatforensiclinguisticshascomeofage.Itisnolongeraspecializationpracticedbyahandfulofscholarswhojusthappentohavelanguageandlawinterests,butratherhas
