1、Section1207:RULES,VIOLATIONSANDPENALTIES(a)RULEVIOLATIONS.Studentswhoviolatetherulesinthespecificathleticplansshallbesubjecttothepenaltyinthespecificathleticplan,orsubjecttotherangeofpenaltiesapplicabletostudentrepresentativesinSections27and29.Theregulationsintheathleticplansgovernallva
2、rsityandsub-varsityteamsandcontestants.Ninthgrade(whetherinjuniorhigh,onaseparatecampusorwithotherhighschoolgrades)andothersub-varsityteamsandcontestantsarerestrictedtothesamegamelimitations,season,etc.asthevarsityteam.(b)ELIGIBILITYRULES.Inadditiontorulesinindividualsportsplans,eachvar
3、sityteamandathleteshallobserveallrulescontainedinSubchapterMoftheConstitution.(c)MINIMUMPENALTYFORUSINGINELIGIBLEPLAYER.IntheeventanineligiblecontestantisusedinanyLeaguegameorcontest,knowinglyorunknowingly,theminimumpenaltyshallbeforfeitureofthegame,contestorevent.SeeSection27(b)(3).(d)
4、UNATTACHEDPARTICIPATION.InanyUILmemberschoolsponsoredathleticcontest,meetortournament,UILmemberhighschoolstudentsshallnotbepermittedtoenterunattached.Thepenaltyforviolationofthisruleshallbeassessedagainstthehighschoolsponsoringthemeet.(e)INELIGIBLEVARSITYPARTICIPANTS.Itisstronglyrecomme
5、ndedthatnoineligibleparticipantcompeteinanymeet,contestoreventagainsteligiblevarsitycontestants.(f)POSITIVEANABOLICSTEROIDTEST.(1)FirstPositiveAnabolicSteroidTest.Uponareportofconfirmationofafirstpositivespecimen‘B’anabolicsteroidtestresultduringhis/herhighschoolparticipation,oruponaref
6、usaltosubmittotestingafterrandomselection,astudent-athleteshallbesuspendedforthirty(30)schooldaysofcompetitioninallUILathleticactivities.Priortoeligibilityrestoration,astudent-athleteshallundergoanexitanabolicsteroidtestandreceiveanegativeresult.(2)SecondPositiveAnabolicSteroidTest.Upon
7、areportofconfirmationofasecondpositivespecimen‘B’anabolicsteroidtestresultduringhis/herhighschoolparticipation,oruponarefusaltosubmittotestingafterrandomselectionofastudent-athletewhohaspreviouslybeensubjectedtothefirstpositivetestpenalty,astudent-athleteshallbesuspendedfromall
