3、tzeRiverDelta,China.Eightpolybrominateddiphenylether(PBDE)congeners(BDE-28,47,100,99,154,153,183and209)weremeasuredtodeterminethelevelsandcompositionalprofilesinthesamples.TheconcentrationsofΣ7PBDEsandBDE-209rangedfromN.Dto35.5μg/kgand4.01to1439μg/kgdryweight(dw)intheroaddustsamples,5.1to799μg/kg
4、and121to3243μg/kglipidweight(lw)inthetreebarksamples,respectively.BDE-209wasthepredominantcongener(contributingto64.1–99.8%ofΣ8PBDEs)inallsamples.ApartfromfugitiveemissionsfromPBDE-containingproducts,combustionprocessesandvehiclesemissionscouldalsocontributeBDE-209totheroaddustandtreebarksamples.
5、Onaverage,thePBDEscontaminationdegreeinthreecitiesfollowtheorderofNantong>Suzhou>Wuxi.RoaddustandtreebarkprovedtobeaneffectiveaccumulatortoreflectthedegreeofatmosphericPBDEspollutantsintheurbanenvironment.Keywords:Roaddust;Treebark;Polybrominateddiphenylethers;Urbanarea.INTRODUCTIONandamountsfrom
6、variouscombustionprocessescouldcondenseontotheflyashesorinthefluegases,andthenPolybrominateddiphenylethers(PBDEs)areextensivelyreleasetotheoutdoorair.Incinerators,powerplants,usedasflameretardantsinvariouspolymers,andespeciallymetallurgicalprocessesandvehicleswererecentlyidentifiedinelectronicequ
7、ipmentsuchascomputersandtelevisionasPBDEsemissionsources,whichcouldcontributesets(deWit,2002).StudieshaveshowncertainPBDEssignificantPBDEstotheatmosphere(Wangetal.,2010;possessthepropertiesofpersistentorganicpollutants
