4、xide(MgO)andcalciumdihydrogenphosphate(Ca(H2PO4)2.H2O).TheresultsrevealedthattheMCPBhardenedaftermixingthepowderswithwaterforabout7min,andthecompressivestrengthreached43MPaaftersettingfor1h,indicatingthattheMCPBhadashortsettingtimeandhighinitialmechanicalstrength.Aftertheacid–basereactionofMCPB
5、containingMgOandCa(H2PO4)2.H2Oinamolarratioof2:1,thefinalhydratedproductswereMg3(PO4)2andCa3(PO4)2.TheMCPBwasdegradableinTris–HClsolutionandthedegradationratiowasobviouslyhigherthancalciumphosphatebiocement(CPB)becauseofitsfastdissol-ution.TheattachmentandproliferationoftheMG63cellsontheMCPBwere
6、significantlyenhancedincomparisonwithCPB,andthealkalinephosphataseactivityofMG63cellsontheMCPBwassignificantlyhigherthanontheCPBat7and14days.TheMG63cellswithnormalphenotypespreadwellontheMCPBsurfaces,andwereattachedincloseproxi-mitytothesubstrate,asseenbyscanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM).Theresults
