2、programmablegatearray(FPGA)-basedembeddedsoftwareplatformcoupledwithasoftware-basedplant,formingahardware-in-the-loop(HIL)thatisusedtovalidateasystematicsensorselectionframework.Thesystematicsensorselectionframeworkcombinesmulti-objectiveoptimization,linear-quad
3、ratic-Gaussian(LQG)-typecontrol,andthenonlinearmodelofamaglevsuspension.Arobustnessanalysisoftheclosed-loopisfollowed(priortoimplementation)supportingtheappropriatenessofthesolutionunderparametricvariation.Theanalysisalsoshowsthatquantizationisrobustunderdifferen
4、tcontrollergains.WhiletheLQGcontrollerisimplementedonanFPGA,thephysicalprocessisrealizedinahigh-levelsystemmodelingenvironment.FPGAtechnologyenablesrapidevaluationofthealgorithmsandtestdesignsunderrealisticscenariosavoidingheavytimepenaltyassociatedwithhardwared
