2、tor(IM)servodrive.SincethecontrolgainsintheMSSMCarefixed,chatteringresponsesoccurduetolargeexternalloaddisturbances.Therefore,areal-timegeneticalgorithm(GA)isdevelopedtotunethecontrolgainsonline.Afield-orientedcontrolIMservodriveisimplementedand,eachsegmentofthemulti-segmentswitchingsurface
3、isdesignedsoastomatchthecorrespondingpartofthetrapezoidalspeedcommandprofile.Asaconsequence,themotordynamicsonthespecifiedsegmentswitchingsurfacehavethedesiredspeedoraccelerationcorrespondingtothetrapezoidalspeedcommandprofile.TheoreticalanalysesfortheproposedGA-basedMSSMCaredescribedindetai
4、l.TheeffectivenessoftheproposedIMservodriveisdemonstratedusingsimulatedandexperimentalresults.1Introductioncommandprofileisdesignedbeforehand.OneofthemostcommonlyusedspeedcommandprofilesisthetrapezoidalVariablestructurecontrol(VSC)(alsoknownasslidingspeedcommandprofile.Itincludesthreeparts:(
5、i)constantmodecontrol(SMC))isknowntobeaveryeffectiveway,acceleration;(ii)constantspeed;and(iii)constantdecele-forthecommandtrackingcontrolofclosed-loopcontrolration.However,constantaccelerationandspeedcannotbesystemsduetoitsmanyadvantages,includinginsensitivitydesignedusingconventionalVSC
6、methods.Accordingly,atoparametervariationsandexternaldisturbancerejection,multi-segmentslidingmodecontrol(MSSMC)techniqueandfastdynamicresponses.Consequently,VSChasbeenisnowproposedthatisinaccordancewiththetrapezoidalwidelyusedinDCandACmotordrives[1–5].ThesystemspeedcommandprofileforanIMse
7、rvodrive.WealsodynamicsofaVSCsystemcanbedividedintotwophases:showthatthereachingphaseoftheconventionalVSCdoes(i)thereachingphase;and(ii)theslidingphase.ThenotexistintheMSSMC,becausethesystemdynamicsarerobustnessofaVSCsystemresidesinitsslidingphase,inaslidingmodeatth
