2、bstract.Thegrowingrequirementsoflightconstructionsarepushingtheneedsformoredetaileddurabilityanalysisanddesignfortransmission.Themethodologydescribedinthispapertacklesoneofthekeyproblem,midgearbendingfatiguedesign.Generally,gearbendingfatiguedesignwasbasedonthetorquetransmitted
3、bythegearandtherevolutionofit.Formidgear,onlyonecoefficientwasconcernedcomparedwiththegearwhichwasloadedonthesinglesideoftheteeth.Themodificationwasnotrelatedwiththestress-strainrelationshipofthegeartoothroot.Inordertosolvetheproblem,defectsofthetraditionaldesignmethodwaspointe
4、dout.Forgearswithsinglesideloaded,themeanstresswasequaltotheamplitude,whichwassametothegearbendingfatiguepropertytest.Butthecharacteristicofloadcycleformidgearwasdifferent.Formidgear,meanstressontherootofteethwaszero.Ontheviewofmetalfatigue,repeatedplasticdeformationwasthereaso

6、ears.Themethodofgearfatiguedesignwasdiscussedinmanypapers.MostofthemwerebasedonGB/T3480-83.Butthestudyshowsthatthemethodonlyfitsforthesinglesideloadedgear.Doublesidesloadedgearswerewidelyusedinvehicle,engineeringmachineandcommonspeedreductionmachines.Tosolvethefatiguedesignatio
