3、gsystem,investigatorsfromtheU.S.ChemicalSafetyBoard(CSB)saidinafinaldraftreportreleasedtoday. TheBoardistovoteonthereportfindingsandrecommendationsatapublicmeetinginJacksonvillethisevening. ConcludingthatT2didnotrecognizeallofthepotentialhazardsoftheprocessformakingagasolineaddi
4、tive,thereportcallsforimprovingtheeducationofchemicalengineeringstudentsonreactivechemicalhazards. TheexplosionandfireonDecember19,2007,killedfourT2employeesandinjuredfourothers. Inaddition,28peopleworkingatnearbybusinesseswereinjuredwhenbuildingwallsandwindowsblewin. Theblast（
5、冲击波）sentdebris（残骸）uptoamileawayanddamagedbuildingswithinaquarter-mileofthefacility. “ThisisoneofthelargestreactivechemicalaccidentstheCSBhasinvestigated,”saidChairmanJohnBresland.“Wehopeourfindingsonceagaincallattentiontotheneedforcompaniestobeawareofhowtocontrolreactivechemical
6、hazards.” In2002theCSBcompletedastudyofreactivechemicalhazards,whichidentified167accidentsoveratwo-decadeperiodandmaderecommendationstoimprovereactivechemicalsafety. ThedraftreportontheT2LaboratoriesexplosioncallsontheAmericanInstituteofChemicalEngineers(AIChE)andtheAccreditatio
7、nBoardforEngineeringandTechnology(ABET)toworktogethertoincludereactivechemicaleducationinbaccalaureatechemicalengineeringcurricula（课程）acrossthecountry. TheCSBfoundthatalthoughthetwoownersofthecompanyhadundergraduatedegreesinchemistryandchemicalengineering,theywerenonethelesslike
