4、dianOceanplatenorthwardmovement,squeezingtheEurasianplate,causingupliftoftheQinghai-TibetPlateau.Atthesametimeintheupliftoftheplateau,alsoeastwardmovement,squeezingtheSichuanBasin.SichuanBasinisarelativelystableblock.AlthoughthemainlooksLongmenshantectonicactivityisnotstrong,butth
5、estressmaybestoredintheprocessofaccumulationtoacertainextent,thecrustwillbreakdown,sotheearthquake.TheU.S.GeologicalSurveyalsoreleasedthenewsthattheearthquake'sepicenterandfocalmechanismsandLongmenshanfaultorarelatedmovementoftectonicfaultinline,theearthquakeisathrusttothenortheas
6、tofthecampaignresults.Fromthemainlandscale,CentralAsiaandEastAsia,theseismicactivityisduetotheIndianOceanplatecollisionoftheEurasianPlate.SouthernCaliforniaEarthquakeResearchCenter,ProfessorLiYonggangtoldXinhua,Longmenshanfaultzoneisearthquake-proneregionofactivefaults,fromtheQing
