3、nBeijing,Xi'an,Nanjingandmanyothercities,andtheybuilttheGreatWall,whichsnakesthroughhalfofourcountry.Theybuiltwallstowardoffenemiesandevilspirits.Thistraditionhasbeenmaintainedtothisdayaswestillhavemanyparksandschoolswalledofffromthepublic.Igrewupatthefootofthecitywalls,andI'velove
4、dthemsincemychildhood.Foralongtime,wallswereoneofthemostnaturalthingsintheworld. Myperception,however,changedafterahikingtriptotheEasternSuburbs,ascenicareaofmycity.MyclassmatesandIwerewalkingwithsomeinternationalstudents.Aswewalkedoutofthecity,wefoundourselvesflankedbytallerandta
