3、vicesmessagingseemsnatural.However,avarietyofimplementationchallenges,includingthesupportforspecificreliableWebservicesmessagingprotocols,mustbeaddressed.Inthispaper,wediscusstheoptionsforandimplicationsofemployingMOMtoimplementreliablemessagingforWebservices.Indoingso,wecontributetotheun
4、derstandingofreliabilityforWebservicesingeneral.1IntroductionWebservicesareapplicationsthataredescribed,published,andaccessedovertheWebusingopenXMLstandards.Theypromoteaservice-orientedcomputingmodelwhereanapplicationexposes,usingtheWebServicesDescriptionLanguage(WSDL)[8]bothitsfunctional
5、ity(inaplatformindependentfashion)aswellasitsmappingstoavailablecommunicationprotocolsanddeployedserviceimplementations.ThisdescriptioncanbediscoveredbyclientapplicationsusingserviceregistriesinorderfortheclienttothenusetheservicebymeansofXMLmessaging.AkeygoaloftheWebservicesframeworkisto
6、provideastandards-basedabstractionlayeroverdiversenetworktransports,operatingsystems,andprogramminglanguages,andtherefore,toprovideaplatformforautomatingtheintegrationofthesediversesystemsandtheirapplications.Further,theframeworkaimstosupportapplication/systemintegrationbothwithinandbetwe
