3、e.TheisolinesareobtainedfromtheFE-calculationbasedonthepreviousmesh.Inthispaper,attentionisfocusedonthePoisson'sequation.Theoptimalapriorierrorestimatefortheproblemisusedtoestimatethenumberofisolinesneededfortheremeshing.Whentheestimatederrorexceedsthetoleranceinonlyasmallpartofthedomain,t

4、headaptiveprocedureisswitchedautomaticallytoanadaptiverefinement.INTRODUCTIONDomaindiscretizationplaysanimportantroleinfiniteelementanalysis.Consequently,varioustechniquesforgeneratingmeshesautomaticallyhavebeendeveloped.Thelatestdevelopmentofadaptiveprocedureshasmademeshgenerationandmeshr

5、efinementevenmoreinterestingsubjectsandmakestherequirementsonmeshgeneratorsevenhigher.BabuskaandRheinboldtgestablishedthebasicmathematicaltheoryofadaptiveproceduresandKellyetal.1°realizedtheengineeringimportanceoftheadaptivemethod.Theadaptiveproceduresmaybeofh-,p-orr-type.Recently,Perairee

6、tal.'describedanadaptiveremeshingprocedurewhereunstructuredtriangularmeshesareemployed.Theylaterextendedthetechniqueintothreedimensions.'Inthemeshgeneration,theyusedtheadvancingfronttechniquewhichwasoriginallydescribedbyLo8whointroducedallthenodesbeforeconstructingtriangles.Peraireetal.''.
