4、gsofRalphWaldoEmerson.TheimportanceofthisromanticreadingisthatitescapestheusualinterpretationsofMarcuseandBrownintermsofMarxismandPsychoanalysis,insteadtracingthesignificanceoftheirthoughttoanearlierphilosophicalfoundationinEuropeandAmerica.KantandEmersonremaintouchstonesthroughout;anditisthrou
