3、tsanovelapproachforreconstructingasurfacefromasetofarbitrary,unorganizedandintersectingcurves.Astrategyforupdatingthereconstructedsurfaceduringdataacquisitionisdescribedaswell.Curvesareaccu-mulatedinavolumetricstructureinwhichavectorfieldisbuiltandupdated.Theinformat

4、ionthatisneededforefficientcurveregistrationisalsodirectlyavailableinthevectorfield.Theproposedmodelingapproachcombinessurfacereconstruc-tionandcurveregistrationintoaunifiedprocedure.Thealgorithmimplementingtheapproachisoflinearcomplexitywithrespecttothenumberofinputcur
