4、yleadingtoefficienciesupto19.7%(in-housemeasurements)onlargeareawafers(239cm²).Inthisarticle,wedemonstratethatefficiencyofMWTcellsreproduciblyexceedsthefrontcontactH-patterncellsbasedontheequivalenttechnologybyabout0.25%absolute.Basedonalossanalysis,wepresentsolutionswhichopenthepossi

5、bilityforfurtherefficiencyincrease.Wealsodescribemoduleresultswhereapproximately3%powerincreasehasbeenobtainedonMWTmoduleoverthecorrespondingH-patterntabbedmodule(273WpforMWTversus265WpforH-patternmodule).Optionstoreducecostandimproveefficiencyatmodulelevelarealsodiscussed.Introductio

6、nThemajorityofsolarcellproductionispresentlybasedonp-typecrystallinesiliconwafersusingtheverymaturedouble-sidecontacted(withanH-patterngrid)technology.However,forasuccessfulandlargescaleintroductionofsiliconPVonthemarket,competitivenesswithotherenergysourceshastobeimproved.Consequentl
