2、variationofopticalintensityofanarbitraryselectedregionofinterestROIonthecableimagesequence.TheobtainedopticalßowvectorprovidesthedirectionofvibrationfortheROIonthecablesegment,whichthencanbeusedtoestimatedisplacementoftheROIontheimageplane.Furthermore,actualdisplacementoftheROIcanbeextracted

3、whensomeconditionsaremet.TheproposedtechniqueisvalidatedbothinthelaboratoryusingarigidpipeandintheÞeldonasmallpedestrianbridgecable.Resultsshowthatthetechniqueisabletomeasurethepipemotionandthecablevibrationaccurately.Theproposedtechniquerequiresonlyonecommercialcamera,andnopriorcameracalibrat
