2、ctElectricpowersteering(EPS)systemshavemanyadvantagesovertraditionalhydraulicpowersteeringsystemsinengineefficiency,spaceefficiency,andenvironmentalcompatibility.ThisresearchaimsatdevelopingEPScontrollogicforreductionofsteeringtorqueexertedbyadriver,realiz
3、ationofvarioussteeringfeels,andimprovementofreturn-to-centerperfor-mance.Inaddition,thetorquesensorcapableofmeasuringthesteeringtorqueandsteeringwheelangleisdevised,andthehardware-in-the-loopsimulation(HILS)systemthatcanim-plementanactualloadtorquedeli
4、veredtothesteeringcolumnisalsodeveloped.WiththeproposedEPSlogic,thedrivercanturnthesteeringwheelwiththesteeringtorquewhosemagnitudeisdeterminedfromatorquemapindependentofloadtorquesthattendtovarydependingonthedrivingconditions.Experimentalstudiesshowth
