3、dywastodevelopanamphiphilicphyto-phospholipidcom-plexinordertoenhancethedeliveryofpoorlysolublerutin.Therutin-phospholipidcomplex(Ru-PLc)waspreparedandin-vestigatedforvariousphysico-chemicalparameterslikedrugloading,infraredabsorption(FTIR),differentialscanningc
4、alo-rimetry(DSC),X-raypowderdiffractometry(XRPD),scanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM),aqueous/n-octanolsolubilityanddissolutionstudy.Theinvitroanti-oxidantactivitywasalsostudied.IntheSEM,Ru-PLcwasfoundfluffyandporouswithroughsurfacemorphology.FTIR,DSCandXRPDdataconfi
5、rmedtheformationofphospholipidcomplex.Thewater/n-octanolsolubilityofrutinwasimprovedfrom2.88to45.71μg/mland68.17to245.18μg/ml,respectivelyinthecomplex.TheimproveddissolutionwasshownbythephospholipidcomplexatdifferentpHbuffers.Theantioxidantactivityindicatedthat,
6、thebioactivityofrutinwasmaintainedevenafterbeingcomplexedwiththephospholipid.Basedontheresults,itcanbeconcludedthatthephospholipidcomplexmaybeconsideredasapromisingdrugdeliverysystemforimprovingtheoverallabsorptionandbioavailabilityoftherutinmolecule.Keywords:Ru
