5、enurewiththeCountBasieOrchestra.Hisstyleischaracterizedbyasteadyandconsistentfour-to-the-barcompingtechniquethat,whencombinedwiththeothermembersoftherhythmsection,createdtheband’siconicpulse.Thisstudyprovidesinsightastohowandwhyhedevelopedthisstyle.Itsh

6、owsthatGreen’sdeceptivelysimplestylewasinfactanintricatetechniquedevelopedthroughyearsofaccompanyingabigband.ThisstudyjuxtaposestheBasierhythmsectionwithothersignificantmusicalexamples,includingBachchorales,toexplaintheharmoniceffectivenessoftherhythmse
