5、sedform10March2010between1991and2008,usingvegetationmapsgeneratedbyremote-sensingimages.WedefinedforestAccepted15March2010suitableforgibbonsbasedoncomposition,treesizeandcanopycover.Duringthe17-yearperiod,theAvailableonline7April201022areaofsuitablegibbonforestdecre
6、asedby540km(35%)acrossthewholeisland,andby6.3km(7%)inthelocalityofthesoleremaininggibbonpopulationatBawanglingNationalNatureReserve.Keywords:22Theforestpatcheslargeenough(>1km)tosupportagibbongroupdecreasedfrom754kmtoNomascushainanus2316kmintotalarea,andfrom92to64i
