3、ingontheanalysis,wegettheconclusionthatconventionalsolutionsforreducingI/Oandmemoryaccessinglatenciesareinsufficientforaddressingtheproblems.Motivatedbythestudies,weproposedanimprovedDCAcombinedwithINICsolutionwhichhascreationsinoptimizedarchitectures,innovativeI/Odatatransferringschemesandimprove

4、dcachepolicies.Experimentalresultsshowthatoursolutionreduces52.3%and14.3%cyclesonaverageforreceivingandtransmittingrespectively.AlsoI/Oandmemorytrafficsaresignificantlydecreased.Moreover,aninvestigationtothebehaviorsofI/Oandcachesystemsfornetworkprocessingisperformed.AndsomeconclusionsabouttheDCAm

6、tnetworkprocessinginwhichbulkdatatransferisperformed.ThelackoflocalitysupportandhighlatencyarethetwomainproblemsforconventionalI/Osystem,whichhavebeenwildlydiscussedbefore[2][4].Toovercomethelimitations,aneffectivesolutioncalledDirectCacheAccess(DCA)issuggestedbyINTEL[1].Itdeliversnetworkpackagesf
