2、ticconstants,whethercurrentorvoltageisimpressedonthemachine.Animorreactances,intermsofwhichthebehaviorofmachineshasbeenportantaspectofthedivisionofsynchronousreactanceintoarmaturecalculated.Presenttheory,however,requiresmanymoreco-reactionandleakagereactanceisdiscussed
3、.Transientreactanceisefficients.Therearenowgenerallyrecognizedtwovalueseachofshowntobethedifferencebetweensynchronousreactanceandtheleakage,synchronous,andtransientreactance,whichcorrespondratioofthemutualreactancebetweenarmatureandfieldandthetotaltothetwosymmetricalax
4、eso]magnetizationofthearmaturecurrentfieldreactance.Calculationsareincludedtoshowthattheshort-andwhichrefertobalancedoperation.Negativeandzerophase-circuitandopen-circuittimeconstantsarerelatedtoeachotherinasequencereactancesarealsoemployedtodetermineoperationundersimp
