3、0subjects,rangingfrommilitaryacademyofficercadetsanduniversitystudentathletestomulti-nationalexecutivesandgovernmentofficials.SheraisedfundingfromtheprivatesectorandconductedresearchinEnglishinSaudiArabia,NewZealand,India,theU.S.andCanada.Shesayssubjectsinthe
4、studyweretrainedinareadingproductivityprogram,thatfromtheprivatesector,appliedtospeedreading,listeningandtakingnotes.Thesubjectsweredividedintotwogroups:onegotnotraining,theothergroupwastaughtlearningskillssuchasreadingprintandelectronicprint,howtolistenandho
5、wtotakenotes.Amoriggifoundthatteachingtheseskillsleadtoimprovedperformanceineveryarea.Amoriggibeganthisresearchbecauseshewastroubledthatsomanyofhereducationstudentswerestrugglingwithstudyskills."Studentshadproblemsstudying,listeningandtakingnotes.Theyhadprobl
6、emswithreadingandwithcomprehensionofthematerial.Ibecameincreasinglyconcernedwiththereadingrateofuniversitystudents.Speedreadinghasincrediblebenefitswhereasslowreadingisfrustratingandleadstodifficultyinunderstandingthematerial."Mostpeoplereadatthesamerateatwhi
