2、alistbytheCouncil.INTRODUCTIONThefollowingsectionsoutlinethenecessaryrequirementsforregistrationTheMedicalandDentalPractitionersAct,Cap221,LawsoftheFederalandlicensingofpractitionersinthedifferentcategoriesasrequiredbylaw.RepublicofNigeria,t990,(hereinafterreferredtoas"TheLaw"),atS
3、ection1,subsection2,assignstotheMedicalandDentalCouncilofNigeria,(hereinafterreferredtoas"TheCouncil"),theresponsibility,interalia,ofTheMedicalandDentalPractitionersActstipulatesatsection18,subsection1that:(A)"determiningthestandardsofknowledgeandskilltobeattainedbypersonsseekingto
4、becomemembersofthe"ApersonshallnotholdanappointmentorpractiseasamedicalMedicalorDentalprofessionandreviewingthesestandardspractitionerordentalsurgeoninNigeriaunlessheisregisteredwithfromtimetotimeascircumstancesmaypermit;theCouncilundertheprovisionsofthisLaw".(B)"securinginaccordan
