3、leonline5December2006AbstractThispaperdescribestheapplicationproceduresofanodalforcebasedmesh-insensitivestructuralstressparameterforanalysisofacomprehensivesetofspotweldfatiguetestdatacollectedfromaseriesofadvancedhighstrengthsheetsteels.Thestructuralstresspara
4、meteriscalculatedinanequilibriumsenseintermsofbendingandmembranecomponentsfromnodalforcesandmomentsateachgridpointalongtheperipheryofaweldnugget.Basedonfracturemechanicsconsiderations,anequivalentstructuralstressparameteristhenusedtotakeintoaccounttheeffectsofloa
5、dingmodeandsheetthicknessonthefatigueofspotweldedjoints.Theequivalentstruc-turalstressisproveneffectiveinconsolidatingthelargeamountoffatiguedataofspotweldsfortransformationinducedplasticity(TRIP),dual-phase(DP),andhighstrengthlowalloy(HSLA)steelssubjectedtobotht
