5、afteraccountingforsocio-economicbackgroundfactors.Studentsreportusingcomputersathomeforawiderangeoffunctions,notjusttoplaygames.HalfofallstudentssurveyedreportedfrequentuseofwordprocessingsoftwareandoftheInternetasaresearchtool.Girlsarelessconfidentthanboysinperformingcomputerfunctions,e
6、speciallyhigh-leveltaskssuchasprogrammingormulti-mediapresentationsandthesegenderdifferencesarelargerinGermanythanattheOECDaveragelevel.Girlsalsotendoveralltousecomputerslessfrequentlythanboys,whoaremorelikelythangirlstohavecomputersathomeinmostOECDcountriesandmorelikelytoplaycomputergam
