3、caldischargemachining.Innovation.havenarrowedtheEDMs’traditionalapplicationdomains.Technologyassessment.SWOTanalysisAsaresult,astrongresearchefforthasbeenfocusedonEDMleadingtothereductionoftheoperationtimeandcostandtotheincreaseoffinalsurfacesquality.Toidentify1Introductionfuturetrendsandp

4、erspectivesofdevelopmentwithintheindustrialapplicationofEDMtechnology,asurveywasElectricaldischargemachining(EDM)islargelydissemi-conductedamongmould-makingindustrialcompaniesandnatedamongseveralindustrialsectors[1]andisnolongerEDMequipmentmanufactures.Thesurveywasdesignedtoconsideredanunc

5、onventionalprocess.Duringthe1990s,allowtheexposureofthemostrelevantweaknessesandtheEDMimportancewasreinforced,whichwasreflectedstrengthsofthetechnologyandtheidentificationofshort-ontherisingofthesalesvolumeofdiesinkingEDMtermthreatsandopportunities.Inparallel,theexpectedequipment[2],mainly

6、becausethedevelopmentofitsimpactsofthemostrecentdevelopmentsofconventionalapplicationontheelectronicindustry,health-careinstruments,EDMwereassessed.Tostructureandsystematizethemicromachiningcomponents,energyequipmentparts,andoverallanalysisandquantifythetotalimpactofeachspecialmaterialspro
