2、ithstandsuchdemandsthroughoutitsexpectedlifetime.Indesign,thestructureishencerequiredtohaveanadequatemarginofsafetyagainstsuchdemands,thesafetyfactorbeingnecessarytoaccountforvariousuncertaintiesduetonaturalvariability,inaccuracyinproceduresusedfortheevaluationandcontrolofloadsorloadeffect
3、s(e.g.,stress,deformation),similaruncertaintiesinstructuralresistance(capacity)anditsdetermination,andalsovariationsinbuildingprocedures.Ademandisanalogoustoload,andacapacityisanalogoustostrengthnecessarytoresistthatload,bothmeasuredconsistently(e.g.,asstress,deformation,resistiveorapplied
