3、ry2007.AbstractRadiofrequencyidentification(RFID)hasbeenidentifiedasoneofthetengreatestcontributorytechnologiesofthe21stcentury.Thistechnologyhasfoundarapidlygrowingmarket,withglobalsalesexpectedtotopUS$7billionby2008.Anincreasingvarietyofenterprisesareemploying
4、RFIDtoimprovetheirefficiencyofoperationsandtogainacompetitiveadvantage.ToshedlightonRFIDtrends,andcontributions,ahistoricalreviewandbibliometricanalysisareincludedinthisresearch.ThebibliometricanalyticaltechniquewasusedtoexaminethistopicinSCIjournalsfrom1991thro
5、ughNovemberof2005.Also,ahistoricalreviewmethodwasusedtoanalyzeRFIDinnovation,adoptionbyorganizations,andmarketdiffusion.Fromtheanalysisofthestudy'sfindings,supplychainmanagement(SCM),healthindustry,andprivacyissuesemergeasthemajortrendsinRFID.Also,thecontributio
