3、bingenergy.Formulasforthecorrespond-ingwavefunctionchangesarealsodeveloped.AtlowenergiestheBetheformulafortheeffectiverangeisreproducedandanexpressionfortheshape-dependenttermisobtained.Thederivedformalismisrelevanttofieldslikenuclearandatomicphysics.Examplesthatdemonstrateth

6、pedbySchwingertoneutron-protonscatteringatenergiesbelow10MeV.Byconsideringthes-wavescatter-ingaloneandignoringthetensorforcetheauthorsobtainedanexpansionforthephaseshiftinpowersofenergy,whichiscommonlyknownastheeffectiverangeexpansion[1].Sim-ilarly,Betheshowedthatthes-wavesc
