3、poseweuseasimplegrowthmodel,resultinginirregularlyshapedmagneticislands,andapplyrateequationsforthetemporaldevelopmentofthemagneticstructure.Theremanentmagnetizationisshownasfunctionofcoverage,temperature,andlatticeanisotropy.Amulti-domainstructu.rewithsmalldomainsisobtainedinthecaseofarapidg
4、rowthandforlowtemperatures.01999ActaMetallurgicaInc.Theinteractionoftheatomicandthemagneticstructure,whichisanimportanttopicofcurrentresearch,isespeciallystrongforverythinmagneticfilms[l].Asmallchangeofthepreparationconditionsmaychangethestructuralandthemagneticpropertiesmarkedly.Therecentpro
5、gressofexperimentalmethods(MFM,SNOM,Kerr-microscopeetc.)allowsfortheinvestigationofthesenanostructuredsystemsingreaterdetail[2,3],inparticularthespatialandtemporalmagneticdomainformation.Duetothestrongexchangecouplingsmallmagneticclustersorislandsareoftenferromagneticallyordered.Anensembleofm
6、agneticallyisolatedislandsshouldbehavesuperparamagnetically[4].However,magneticanisotropiesmayhindertherelaxationtowardstheequilibriumstatefortemperaturesbelowtheso-calledblockingtemperature,whichdependsonthestrengthoftheanisotropy,theislandsize,andthemeasuringtime.Theresultingmagneticstructu
7、remaybenotthemostfavorablesingle-domainstate,butsticksinametastablemulti-domainstatewithavanishingremanentmagnetization.Thisfeatureisobservedifthemagneticfilmispreparedinzeroappliedmagneticfield[2].Inthisstudywepresentresultsfortheremanentmag
