4、excitationsanddiscussestheunderlyingprocessesaccordingtothecurrentunderstanding.Ageneralsurveycoversbasicclusterpropertiesandexcitationmechanismsrelevantforlaser-drivenclusterdynamics.Then,afteranexcursionintheoreticalandexperimentalmethods,resultsforsingle-photonandmultiphotonexcitatio

5、nsarereviewedwithemphasisonsignaturesfromtime-andangular-resolvedphotoemission.AkeyissueofthisreviewisthebroadspectrumofphenomenaarisingfromclustersexposedtostrongÞelds,wheretheinteractionwiththelaserpulsecreatesshort-livedanddensenanoplasmas.Theimplicationsfortechnicaldevelopmentssucha
