3、ges.Thistoolhasbeenproventobeeffectiveinimprovingspeed,qualityandimpactofNVHhardwaredecisions.INTRODUCTIONThedynamiccharacteristicofavehicleframestructureplaysasignificantroleinvehicleNVH(Noise,VibrationandHarshness)performance,anddirectlyaffectstheoverallcustomersatisfaction
4、.Thepredictionofframedynamicbehaviorsbecomesverycrucialtoensurebody/framemodalseparationandpreventvehicleshakeandvibration.Forthispurpose,severalCAEmethodshavebeenappliedtoframestructuralanalysis;therearefiniteelementbasedmodels[1],[2],andtheboundaryelementbasedmodel[3].Themo
5、stofthesemodelsarecomplicatedhavingaverylargemodelsize.Theengineeringresourcerequirementofmodelbuildingandanalysis,plustherequirementofdetaileddesigninformation,oftenmeanthattheycannotbeappliedinatimeframeformaximumefficiencyandeffectiveness,intheconceptualdesignstage.Tooverc
6、omethesechallenges,anewParametricFrameModel(PFM)hasbeendevelopedandpresentedinthispaper.Thismodel,asillustratedinFigure1,isalinearfiniteelementmodeldefinedonparameterizedgeometry.Whenthegeometrychanged,thefiniteelementmodelcanbeupdatedautomatically.Itiscapableofprovidingfastm
7、odal,staticstiffness,andweightassessments,aswellasDSA/optimizationforframedesignchanges.Thisfullyparameterizedmodelincludesmostoftheimportantdesignvariablesofvehicleframearchitectureandgeometry,allowingeasychangestotheshapeanddimensionsofanysection.Regardlessofthenumberofvari
