2、ectromagneticpulse,thesesystemsareinevitablyimpactedbyhighpowerpulse,whichwillinducesomeenergyintothecable.Thispaperbeginswiththeinvestigationofthecouplingproblemfromexternalelectromagneticfieldtoshieldedcables.Wedividethistotalsystemintotwotransmissionlinesystems.Theoutertransmissionlineiscompose

3、doftheshieldofthecableandthegroundwhiletheinnertransmissionlineiscomposedoftheshieldandthecorewireofthecable.Thetwosystemsareconnectedbytransferimpedanceandtransferadmittanceofthiscable,whichreducesthecomputationcomplexityalot.Byusingthismethod,wehavecomputedthesheathcurrentandinternalcurrentrespo

5、TD(computethevoltageresponseofthemulti-conductorcable)andEigenFunctionexpansionmethodcombinedwithMoM(computetheelectronicfieldatthejunction).Duringtheseparts,wemanlyanalyzethefollowingproblems:1.Extractcableparametersinthreecases,especiallyconsideringtheproximityeffectandtheinhomogeneousdielectric

6、mediacase.2.UsingFDTD,numericallycomputedtheterminalvoltageresponseinthethreecasesofmulti-conductorcableswhileconsideringtheconductorlossofthecablewhichisinducedbytheskineffect.3.Setupadmittancematrixtoobtainvoltageresponsefordifferentcablenetworksattachedwithdifferentterminalimpedance.4.Numerical

7、investigationofthetransmissioncharacteristicsofthecascadedcable.Theresultsshowthatthemorevariationinradiusbetweentheadjacentconnectedcables,themorehighmodeswillbeinducedandmoreresonancefrequencywillappear.KEYWORD
