2、balcultureonAfricantraditionparticularlyontheroleofAfricantraditionalwomeninconflictpreventionandresolution.Globalculture,apartofglobalization,hasnotonlytransportedthegoodsideoftheeconomicandsocialdevelopmentacrosstheglobebuthasalsochangedinthecultureofhostcommunities.S
3、omechangesincludethemodeofproductionandthewaythingsaredone,whileothersincludethesymbolicinteractionortheappreciationofhowsocialfactsaretobeseenandappreciated.Forexample,thechangefromcollectivismsocialstructurethatcharacterizesAfricansocietytoindividualismstructurethatch
4、aracterizesthemarket-orientedcultureofwesternsociety.Thischangeiswithoutdoubtthat“Globalizationisoneofthemostimportantanddevelopedtheoriesofthetwentiethcentury”(Ritzer,2008:230).However,oneaspectthatjustifiestheimportanceofthisdevelopmentistheculture(termedcivilizationi
5、notherareas)thattheapplicationofthisconcepttransportsfromonelocationtoanother.Thisculturalaspectmaybeeconomic,marketingoriented,orjustachangeinrationalebehaviorofconsumptionandproduction.Nevertheless,thischangequestionsthestaticexistenceofrapport,therolethattraditionalc
6、ultureplaysinthelifeofAfricancommunities,andtheimpacttraditionalreligionsstillhaveontheessenceofAfricanculture.Thesequestionsareraisedaswediscussglobalizationasaneconomiccultureandasourceofconflictduetotheimperativechangeinmethodsofproductionandconsumption.Thispaperwill
