4、ydevelopmentofthispaper.2Graduated.179AbstractThisstudyexamineshowdifferentdimensionsofcorpusfrequencydatamayaffecttheoutcomeofstatisticalmodelingoflexicalitems.Thecorpususedinouranalysisisanelderlyspeakercorpusinitsearlydevelopment,andthetargetwordsare
5、temporalexpressions,whichmightrevealhowthespeechproducedbytheelderlyisorganized.Weconductdivisivehierarchicalclusteringbasedontwodifferentdimensionsofcorpusdata,namelyrawfrequencydistributionandcollocation-basedvectors.Resultsshowwhendifferentdimensions
6、ofdatawereusedastheinput,thetargettermswereindeedclusteredindifferentways.Analysesbasedonfrequencydistributionsandcollocationalpatternsaredistinctfromeachother.Specifically,statistically-basedcollocationalanalysisproducesmoredistinctclusteringresultstha
