3、esentpaperwepresenta3Dmultiphaseflowmodelthatiscapableofpredictingflowwithcoexistingcontinuousanddispersedphases.Aquasi-3D(Q3D)pipeflowversionofthe3Dmodelhasbeendevelopedbyaveragingtheflowoverhorizontalslices,reducingthecomputationaltimedramaticallywithoutlosingthe
4、pipegeometryandtoomuchofthecriticalflowphysics.Bythisbasicallytwo-dimensionalapproachitispossibletosimulatesufficientlylongsectionsofapipetoanalyzeflowdevelopmentandflowregimetransitions.Itisshownthatthistypeofmodelcanpredict,bothqualitativelyandquantitatively,diff
5、erenttypesoftwo-phasepipeflowswithoutaprioriflowregimeinformation.Introductionmainfeaturesofthe3Dmodelandaparticularimplementationofthismodel.Multiphaseflowsinpipelinesareimportantforavarietyofindustries,rangingfromnuclearpowerplants,plantsforfoodprocessing,tooilan
