6、cientificknowledgethroughouttheworld.Wehavelearnedtoeditthehumangenomeandunlockmanysecretsofhowcancerprogresses.Wecanmanipulateneuronalactivityliterallywiththeswitchofalight.Eachyearbringsmoreadvancesinbiomedicalresearch-exciting,transformativeaccomplishments.Yet
7、,despitetheknowledgewehaveamassed,wehaven’tbeensosuccessfulindeployingittowhereit’sneededmost.AccordingtotheWorldBank,twelvepercentoftheworld’spopulationlivesonlessthan$2aday.Malnutritionkillsmorethan3millionchildrenannually.Threehundredmillionpeopleareafflictedb
