3、surroundedbyhighmountains—butalsobecauseofgovernmentpolicies.Ourgovernmenthadalwaysbeena,anabsolutemonarchy,Imean,governmentheadedbyakingwithunlimitedpower.Anyway,untilveryrecently,Bhutanhadnoelectricity,nocarsortrucks,notelephones,andnopostalservice.Youmayb
4、esurprisedtolearnthatinBhutanpeoplehaveonlyhadtelevisionsince1999.ItwasthelastcountryonEarthtogetit.Youmaybewondering:WhydidBhutanrejectthemodernworldforsolong?Well,thegovernmentwastryingtoprotectthepeoplefromnegativeinfluencessuchashighcrimerates,youthviole
