2、priateforourblessingstobe(andIquote),"gratefullyacknowledgedaswithoneheartandonevoicebythewholeAmericanpeople."Thisweek,theAmericanpeoplecametogetherwithfamiliesandfriendstocarryonthisdistinctlyAmericantradition.Wegavethanksforlovedonesandforourlastingprideinourcommunities
3、andourcountry.Wetookcomfortingoodmemorieswhilelookingforwardtothepromiseofchange.ButthisThanksgivingalsotakesplaceatatimeofgreattrialforourpeople.Acrossthecountry,therewereemptyseatsatthetable,asbraveAmericanscontinuetoserveinharm’swayfromthemountainsofAfghanistantothedese
4、rtsofIraq.Wehonorandgivethanksfortheirsacrifice,andstandbythefamilieswhoenduretheirabsencewithsuchdignityandresolve.Athome,wefaceaneconomiccrisisofhistoricproportions.MoreandmoreAmericansareworriedaboutlosingajobormakingtheirmortgagepayment.Workersarewonderingifnextmonth's
5、paycheckwillpaynextmonth'sbills.Retireesarewatchingtheirsavingsdisappear,andstudentsarestrugglingwiththecostoftuition.It'sgoingtotakeboldandimmediateactiontoconfrontthiscrisis.That'swhyI'mcommittedtoforginganewbeginningfromthemomentItakeofficeasPresidentoftheUnitedStates.E
6、arlierthisweek,Iannouncedmyeconomicteam.ThistalentedanddedicatedgroupisalreadyhardatworkcraftinganEconomicRecoveryPlanthatwillcreateorsave2.5millionnewjobs,whilemakingtheinvestmentsweneedtofuellong-termeconomicgrowthandstability.ButthisThanksgiving,we'reremindedthattherene
